Hiraya Media Arts announces its third publication, Alex C. Delos Santos' UGSAD KANG KINARAY-A (2007). The book is the second of the Kinaray-a for the Karay-a series, a project that aims to produce reading materials and learning resource for the Karay-a people. It is a revised (expanded and improved) version in Kinaray-a of the English THE RISE OF KINARAY-A published in 2003. The author notes that for the Karay-a to achieve their emancipation from colonial mentality, they must seek and produce knowledge in their native tongue. The book shall be off the press in September 2008, and will be available online from www.bookoto.com.
Hiraya Media Arts has published AGI, AGI MAY PUTAY SA DAHI (2006), a collection of gay stories in Kinaray-a by Alex C. Delos Santos, and OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS (2007), essays about Filipino workers in the Middle East by Freda Editha O. Contreras. Both books are also available from www.bookoto.com.
